When you start talking about .NET replacing the old win32 API, I understood that you have no idea of what you are talking about...

Nobody

You seem to be quite a bit wrong on a lot of accounts. For instance, the claim that there are no services in Vista built in .NET is completely wrong. Avalon, Indigo, and Workflow foundation are all built in .NET, and included in Vista by default. And that's just the tip of the iceberg.

I remember a time when mentioning Linux in an IRC #windows room would get you a flamewar and kicked, and now there seems to be as much Linux talk as there is Windows in said rooms. I can see a major shift in the amount of people who run Linux happening already.

Wrong, how long have you been a MCSE?

Wrong

I predict that in 10 years Microsoft will still have a solid grip on at least 80% of the Desktop market, Apple with 10% and Linux with the other 10%.
However, if Apple releases OSX
for non Apple hardware I think they could potentially replace Microsoft as the Desktop OS of choice in 10 years; with Microsoft coming in second and Linux being relegated to backend server status.

That being said, I have a question : do you actually get paid for writing articles like this?
